Great Antarctic Explorers
This sea voyage through Antarctic history sails from Lyttelton, New Zealand to Hobart, Australia via the Historic Huts of the Ross Sea. You will sail in the company of special guest Adrian Raeside, author, cartoonist and explorer's grandson. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Scott's ill-fated expedition to the South Pole, Adrian is writing a book about his grandfather, an expedition member. En route, Adrian will read excerpts from his grandfather's journals and show pictures taken by Herbert Ponting that haven't been seen in a century! Onboard helicopters make possible access to remote landing sites.
