Passports & Visas

A valid passport with at least three months validity is required to travel to Japan. No visa is required for entry for up to 90 days.

Currency
The Japanese unit of currency is the Japanese Yen (1USD = 116JPY)

Tipping
There is very little tipping in Japan. Gratitude is usually shown by the giving of gifts rather than money.

Climate
Japan has four distinct seasons; summer, autumn, winter and spring. Summers are warm and humid while winters can be very cool.
